RAISING FUNDS FOR CAMP PAQUATUCK SINCE 1972
“Where Summer is for Everyone”
Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck is a Rotary sponsored camp dedicated to the benefit of individuals special needs. Each year, campers enjoy a session of summer fun at the 37-acre site on the shores of Kaler’s Pond in Center Moriches. Campers experience the joys of boating, arts and crafts, music, adaptive sports and games, swimming, campfires and more, all while in a supportive environment.
In 1972 a group of women were asked to help raise funds for Camp Paquatuck, which relies heavily on fundraising, as it has operated since year one without any government funding. Their fundraising success was the beginning of the Moriches Paquatuck Squaws. Now known as the Camp Paquatuck Fundraisers, over thirty women meet once a month to plan, discuss and execute fundraisers for the camp. 100 percent of the money that is raised is given directly to the Camp each year, to help with operating costs.
We have many events throughout the year. One of our longest running and most successful event is the Spooky Walk, a 45 minute haunted walk throughout the camp. Our other events include - Handbag Bingo, Joy Prom, Basket Auctions, Card Party, Psychic Night & the Inlet Ride.
